Event Planning though the Eye of a Young Girl
Well it’s getting to be the end of my freshman year as a college student. You would think it would be time to relax and get ready for summer. Well you’re wrong. My life is the busiest it has ever been. I have school work, finals to prepare for, club functions, Senior Send-off to finish planning, and special events crap. I can’t do everything! I feel so stressed out and I don’t know how to say no. I have a very bad habit of always saying yes. I need to stop and say no every once in a while. I have to START my research paper and presentation! I have so much on my shoulders. My career means everything to me and getting to be able to get an internship so early means the world to me! Unfortunately, my summer will suck because I won’t see my friends as much but it will be worth it to gain so much experience. Hopefully, Dad will be able to get me to work in his office and I can make a little bit of money that will never get spent! Life will become easier. I keep telling myself that. I need to focus on me for a while and relax. I have to stop saying yes because if I stretch myself too thin then I will gas out and not be able to do everything I promised and I will let people down and I don’t want to do that. Hopefully, I learn to say no.

As an event planner, cocktail parties are my favorite get-togethers to host. Cocktail parties are easy to plan, glamorous and relatively inexpensive. For the busy host, a cocktail party is a convenient way to entertain any kind of guest list ranging from friends to business associates.
